Garment Care

-
This depends on the type and should be on the product page for each item. General care is as follows:
-
Vintage kimonos line: traditionally, stains on kimonos can be handled in the following ways:
-
Solid food stains (i.e. oatmeal): Wait for the food stain to dry and tug the fabric at opposite ends of the food stain. The food stain should pop right off.
-
Water stains: Using a piece of white silk, rub the water stain. It should come off.
-
Any other stains (oil, fat, etc.): Take the item to a dry cleaner as vintage kimonos are traditionally overdyed. Thus, soaking in water can cause the dye to release and transfer to other areas of the fabric.
